Flexible, Environmentally-friendly Furniture

I'd like to share with you this amazing chair by Flexible Love.

The amazing thing about it is that it's an expandable chair, and it can turn into a chair long enough to sit 8 or 16 people (depending on the model). This flexibility brings tremendous versatility to it, since you can arrange it in many different ways. Imagine the posibilites! And it's a space saver (when folded, it's narrower than a regular chair).

Best thing about it is it's made of recycled paper and wood waste... ain't she sweet? And don't let yourself be fooled by its looks, cardboard is strong enough to hold many people on top of it.

The chair was designed by Chishen Chiu, from Taiwan, and if you're interested, it's available at Flexible Love for almost anywhere in the world. Its price is 250 euros for the 8 people version, and 490 euros for the 16 people version. Not bad considering it sits so many people, huh?

Now, would anybody out there like to get me one, pretty please? ;)

Before and After

Hi y'all!
I'd like to show you my newest "Before and After"

It's not about any room, though. It's all about me!

Normally I don't speak about myself, but today I'm happy about my new haircut, and I want to share it with you.

In this last year, I've had 3 different styles (which are far too many for me):

1. Really long and curly.

2. Short and curly.

3. Now: short and straight! (ok, that's just for today, let's see how it turns out when I get it wet!)

What do you think?

I Heart Damask

Damaskas you probably are well aware of, is one of the lattest, trendiest patterns in design. I must truly say I have a crush on it. It's gorgeous! (Hmmm... notice something peculiar on the background?)

Damask was so in in the late 1960's and the following 1970's. So heavy and over-the-top, it became history for over a decade. You must remember it from your grandma's furniture, perhaps?
Do you remember now? Waaaaay too much!

Well, damask is back, but it has undergone an awesome make-over. The curvy shapes are staying, but the design is modern and sleek, using two colors instead of the many more that were used before. Now, damask is a great patter to use as an accent or a focal point in a room (with more-than-fab results).

Nowadays, it's easy to find damask in almost any kind of decoration and design. You can find it in strong or subtle combinations, perfect to suit your desing wishes. Yay! This is precisely why I want to show you some great damask items for inspiration.

And of course, my favorite:
Wait a sec, what's that? Am I thinking about babies (again)? Though it would be nice someday soon. =)

By the way, my daughter absolutely loved damask for her room. I really hope to get started on it soon!

Do you like Damask as much as I do?

Let's Hang Up Those Dishes!

I'm soooooo loving this idea by Brazilian designer Paula Juchem and Non Sans Raison with their new line Coco.

These awesome decorative wall plates are held in place by magnets, making a huge statement in any space (and not using storage space!).

Every plate is unique. And they're within reach just when needed.

Gorgeous, huh?

The Perfect Present for Father's Day

This is probably the best present I could get for my husband this Father's Day. It's a very cool wall barbecue by  Focus. Check it out!

I love how good it looks both opened and closed, and it's excellent for small places, such as ours. Great! ;)
