More on The First Communion

Here's a peek into what I've been up to lately:

I know I had shown it before, but I'm excited to see the printed invitations. I love the tree.

Since I felt the envelope was too white, I drew a little birdie in the corner.

As for today, I finished the tule Martha Stewart pom poms.
I want to make many of them to hang them all over the place. I just have to keep in budget, though, so I'm not quite sure I'll be able to make as many as I want to. I love how they look everywhere in the blogosphere:

They're gorgeous, I love them for home decor as well. I'm pretty sure you're already familiar with this nursery:

There are many things to do on my ever-growing list, but I hope to enjoy it all in the party. Still, I also want to get going with a Christmas wreath. Too many things, I tell ya'! Anyhow, I've got a feeling Christmas will have to wait a little longer this year. .

=)

I'll keep you posted.

Gorgeous Patio

Right in the middle of NYC, just in front of Central Park, rests this wonderful patio, in designer Celerie Kemble's apartment. With this view, and all the beautiful details, I'm drooling all over it. I need to get myself working on my own patio again!

I'm getting there.
Ok, not there but close enough.

I'll share sometime soon.

Photographer Spotlight - Polly Wreford

I just came accross with home and interior photographer Polly Wreford, and I'm still mouth-open. Her beautiful images capture the casual and yet elegant spirit of spaces, and this combination is truly captivating ¡total inspiration! What a better way for us to start this busy week? Enjoy!

Birds for The Invites

As I mentioned before, one of the things keeping me busy lately is a party we're hosting in a few weeks. Our girl is doing her First Communion, and eventhough it will be a small gettogether, there's a lot of planning and organizing to do. Just as I promised, I'll be keeping you posted. ;)

For the invitations, as requested by my daughter, I made this tree.

It simbolizes the Holy Spirit who grows inside our hearts, just as a seed grows into a tree.

I call it the "bird tree".

:)

My idea is to do something fresh, simple, sweet, and original.
Hope to show it soon.

Happy Bloggiversary Casa Haus

It's our birthday! Yay!

Casa Haus started a year ago like a tiny seed waiting to flourish. And boy has it! This has become quite an adventure, and I couldn't feel happier or more thankful. I've met delightful people, I keep finding inspiration everywhere, but best of all, I'm thankful for having people interested in reading me. It's amazing.
So what comes next year?

I've got many plans (as usual)! And I'd better share them with you, because that's my way of forcing myself to make them all (it might take longer than I wish for, but I get there).

For starters, our family is soon having a party, so I'll be sharing with you my adventures in decorating and doing it (a WHOLE new world for me, and I'm loving it!).

And of course, Christmas is almost here, so I'll be sharing tutorials and easy decor. Plus, lots of images for inspiration, of course!

As if that wasn't all, I'm full of design issues here at home, so get ready for beautiful inspiration images and dealing with low budgets, NO time, and HUGE ambitions!

Better get working.

I promise to write as soon as I can.
