Yesterday was Earth Day, and hence some inspirational works on green roofs and vertical gardens done mostly in Mexico. I love the idea of creating gorgeous, green spaces that not only are eco-friendly, but they actually do something for the environment. I wish I had a green roof at home! Happy long weekend for all.

Eclectic, Modern Home in Paris
This house, home of Virginie and Frédéric (decor stylist and stage designer) is a great example of modern meets vintage, with many accesories and furniture being recovered. The result is a very original and quite unexpected home, with a color palette of grays and lillacs I absolutely adore. Plus, there are several interesting details I know many of you will love.
I really like all of it, but if I had to choose, my favorites spaces would be the living room and the bathroom. I can't get over those silver and purple tones. Another thing I love is the use of bold art on the walls. How do you like it?

Messing Around With Photoshop
I thought it would be fun to share with you the "before" and "after" pics I did with Photoshop waaaaaaaay back in January. I know, things have not been as smooth as you would probably expect (I definitely knew it for sure), but we're gettin' there.
Move your mouse in and out of the pic to see the changes.

My husband shouldn't read this, but I would LOVE to change the tile for the backsplash and then of course install dark countertops, and perhaps even new floor tiles? Let's just leave it in painting the kitchen cabinets. At least that's where I'm stuck for the moment.
Anyhoo, this gives you an idea of the first changes I'm attempting.
I really like the blue-grayish tones for the kitchen.
So, I would love to have some insight! Do you like it, or not?
A great day for all of you!

We're moving!!!!
Ok, not us. The blog is.
A few of you out there know that I actually have TWO blogs.
More like two versions of the same blog: Casa Haus, and Casa Haus Spanish.
It has really been difficult for me to keep both of them updated, so I've made the decision to put them both together, and I'll be writing my posts in both English and Spanish, but on the SAME blog.
So, our new address is:
Come on over! We'll have fun!!
Oh! And don't forget to follow Casa Haus over there!

Thinking Outloud
I just realized something. All of my favorita kitchens are white.
And I've got pictures of them too.

On the other hand, I've been doing some thinking. Ever since we got married two years ago, we haven't really done anything house-realted. There are sooo many things I'd love to do to make it more ours, if you know what I mean. We haven't been able, mainly due to a lack of both money and time, but this time I'm determined to do something about it. Of course those are big issues, but I'm hoping to jump the barriers and start now. It's my New Year's resolution.
So my first project, our kitchen:
To be more specific, my first project is painting my kitchen cabinets white.
Mi inspiration: all those fabulous white kitchens out there!
This is nerve-wrecking.
I need to know your opinion. What do you think about it?
I must confess I have no clue on how to paint furniture. But, I like researching and reading about other people's experience, and I'm somewhat a perfectionist. That must help, right?
So, if someone out there reading this knows how to do this, or has any suggestions for me, it would be greatly appreciated.
